ViFF 2007 TO SHOWCASE 13 FEATURES AND SELECTED SHORT FILMS FROM 7 COUNTRIES AROUND THE WORLD!

Westminster, CA: The Vietnamese-American Arts & Letters Association (VAALA) and the VietNamese Language and Culture (VNLC) at University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) will present the 3rd biennial Vietnamese International Film Festival (ViFF). April 12 – 15 & 19 – 22, 2007

Screening Locations: University of California, Irvine (UCI)’s Film & Video Center with selected screenings and panel discussions at UCLA and in Westminster, California. Opening Night will be at the Edwards University Cinema 6, Irvine.

Tam’s first directorial effort in 17 years since his 1989 film My Heart is
That Eternal Rose. He has won Best Film awards for After This Our
Exile in both the Tokyo International Film Festival and Taipei Golden
Horse Film Festival. US Premiere – Closing Night Film

- Isabella (Hong Kong)
Screening Time: April 14, 2007 - 5:00 pm
Directed by Pang Ho-cheung, one of the most promising Hong Kong
directors of his generation. He was named Best New Director in 2003
at the Hong Kong Film Awards and has been praised by Variety as the
amalgamation of Claude Lelouch and Wong Kar Wai. Isabella won the
Silver Bear for Best Film Music at the Berlin International Film Festival.
